Dodge those salty treats. It's very much likely for you to crave something salty after the trip to the day spa as sweating profusely can cause the body to lose sodium. However, you should do your best to stay away from high sodium treats because of the associated health risks. You can get good amounts of sodium from fresh fruits and vegetables.

Refrain from exercising. Experts say that you should exercise first and then use saunas. If you do it the other way around, it's likely for your body to end up overheated most especially if you engage in intense exercise. After a trip to your favorite day spa, it's highly recommended that you take a rest to make the most of the physical and mental calmness.

Dodge the sun. It's also strongly suggested for you to stay away from direct sunlight after. This helps keep your body's core temperature from rising further. Experts say, by the way, that you should not use saunas if you got sunburn as it will only complicate things and delay the healing process considerably.
